We knew from registration that more than 90% of attendees had Instagram and/or Facebook.
Besides looking totally rad, it was gamified. Social posts helped fill a pint glass that would trigger a giveaway when full. A crowd formed around the admin table watching the wall. It was awesome.
This was my baby. My role was to develop the front-end and to build the mechanism for triggering the giveaway anouncement. I had a great designer and a genus back-end developer help out. I was the middle-man that chopped up the design, constructed the front-end framework, animated the beer pouring, and programmed the Arduino that presented the event announcement.
